I enjoy Reading, Computers, Programming (although I am not very good) Video games, Zoology, and Physics. Bizarre, dry or surrealist humor is the best. I love meeting new people, I hate it when people don't like each other for stupid reasons. I feel great when someone actually reviews this page, it makes me feel like someone actually reads all the stuff I write. I can't kill mosquitoes because I feel guilty afterwards. In my opinion outer space is the place to be. I am an atheist, as well as a liberal. But before any of that I am a humanist. I usually spend at least three hours a day buried in a good book. I battle depression but usually come out the winner. I'm not the smartest person in the world, but I love to learn. Message me, I will probably like you. I pretty much live for interesting people to message me, so please do! [Tunes]

First off, eggs we eat are not fertilized. So they are just a lifeless mass of protein made by a hen. So eat up!

But I just can't help thinking about all the baby chicks they killed for this. I hope it was in the name of science, because then I am fine with it.

I feel bad for ants with broken legs, and bring them sugar water to make them feel better. I think I react a bit too strongly to things getting injured.

For Most People, College Is a Waste of Time - WSJ.com

Things like this really can get on my nerves.

This article suggests that the secondary education system as it is based in the United States is fundamentally flawed because it provides useless standardized classes which are required to achieve the degree of your choosing. At face value this is true, however the author made one fundamental mistake when writing this, he assumed that all education must lead to your career.

Education has an immense range of uses which do not pertain to the workforce. American History, Literature, Composition, Biology. For the most part, people will never need all of these subjects. And yet we have all children learn the basics of the subjects as the proceed through their mandatory education system. And why is that? If a child knows he will be a doctor from age 10, why should he learn about the Gettysburg Address? It is because education in a range of fields creates citizens who think and speak clearly, and can make smart decisions which require a wide range of knowledge.

Taking a few literature courses in college isn't going to kill you, in fact you will probably be better off for it. People are more interesting when the know more, and usually you come out the other side of the secondary education system with a lot of skills you didn't expect to learn.

I'm only reviewing this page because of what someone else said about it.

I've spoken about this before, but this has just gotten on my nerves again. Some people think it is bad to medicate children, they say that medication is dangerous and an unnecessary risk.

I have seen children suffering from ADHD that cannot listen to an entire sentence, because they are immediately distracted. They cannot look at a camera for a picture, or play team sports, or sit down for class. Why should a kids like these suffer? Medication has well known risks, and reversible side effects if discontinued.

Ever since I was a kid I have had horrible sleeping problems and crippling depression and anxiety. Being medicated is what allowed me to complete my primary education. If medication had been denied to me I would have never even finished middle school.

I don't think anybody is saying every kid should be medicated, but a lot of children are being left on the wayside in this argument.

Stop saying medications are horrible, they are what have allowed me and many other people to survive for this long.
Evolution of cetaceans - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Liked it Aug 10, 3:57pm 1 review evolution http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolutio...

The evolution of cetaceans (dolphins, whales, etc) is one of the most fascinating bits of evolutionary history which we still have around. Great and sudden changes in a population can occur either in a contained population or when a powerful selective pressure is exerted. In this instance the selective pressure were the multitudes of available nutrients swimming about in the oceans.

At first Cetaceans almost resembled dogs, they were quadrupedal with a long snout and incredibly sharp teeth. They hunted along the side of oceans, scavenging whatever washed up. Slowly they started getting more streamlined, with webbed feet and thinner hair. They ventured further and further away from the land. Their tail lengthened and their legs shortened. Eventually the Cetaceans took on a sort of proto-form of what we know today, one long flipper instead of legs and a nose on the top of the head.

Maybe it is just a personal interest, but I think stuff like this is just fascinating. Life has the ability to take advantage of whatever resources are about. Even if it means taking a step backwards, and returning to the place where it emerged.
