I enjoy Reading, Computers, Programming (although I am not very good) Video games, Zoology, and Physics. Bizarre, dry or surrealist humor is the best. I love meeting new people, I hate it when people don't like each other for stupid reasons. I am an atheist, as well as a liberal. But before any of that I am a humanist. I battle depression but usually come out the winner. I'm not the smartest person in the world, but I love to learn. Message me, I will probably like you.

I am pretty much always listening to the remix of this song.

Gotta love clumsy CGI.

I have always found Nine Inch Nails to be a very good band, with really complex and high quality music. The name scares a decent crowd away I imagine, as does the rough quality of the average song you would find. But if you really take time to sit and listen to an album all the way through I bet you would see how each and every one is really a full production filled with emotion and intensity.

The Slip, the brand new album, was released online for download...and didn't cost a cent. Trent Reznor just claimed that this was a gift for being a loyal fan. NIN isn't signed to a record label anymore and so they can do whatever they want with their music. Bravo to them I say.

I've heard some negative reviews of this album by diehard fans. I can't help thinking that they are expecting something that isn't there. Nine inch nails used to be a heavy industrial band, but has gotten more electronic over the past decade. All music has to evolve over time or else face stagnation and death. I think every album a person listens to should be considered with an open mind, works of art don't always have to be connected to still be good.

Brain zaps are AWFUL. I've gotten them a few times when transitioning off of medications. They are some of the worst things you can experience, and something which is nearly impossible to describe. Wikipedia tries to explain it as ""Brain zaps" are said to defy description for whomever has not experienced them, but the most common themes are of a sudden "jolt," likened to an electric shock, apparently occurring or originating within the brain itself, with associated disorientation for a few seconds. I have a huge soft spot for cats, I can't understand how anybody could turn one away. It's actually pretty difficult to find any cat that won't love you if you treat it right.

Not sure how long this link is going to stay up. But this is a fun and interesting documentary which examines the evolutionary and intelligent design debate. It manages to poke fun at both sides without falling into idiotic jokes.

I've been getting far to wrapped up in this argument I think. It's never a good idea to be so vehement about something like this. But I can't get past the idea that when we teach students a panacea theory like intelligent design, we are ultimately harming their logistical abilities and overall scientific understanding.

I know its bad to speak ill of another's belief. But I can't help thinking that in a science course you are taught to examine results and try to come to your own conclusion based on evidence. More so than anything else a science class is based on learning how to understand and react to data. If you only learn to say "god did it" in response to a question, then what have you really learned at all?

The whole idea of city farming is one that has been explored countless times without any great success. If this were to ever go through I expect it would meet immediate praise and begin to get adopted in many wealthy cities. The issue is getting the project started in the first place, getting out there for people to see. But then again, that is the twilight stage that many amazing ideas are doomed to stay in.
